Annual Pass and Camping Policy

~ Terms and Conditions ~

      • Valid for entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle at Merced Irrigation District – Department of Parks and Recreation operated units where a vehicle day use fee is collected. Valid for 12 months from the month of purchase.
      •  

      • Pass holder must abide by any rules and regulations applicable to Merced Irrigation District – Department of Parks and Recreation or to the use of this pass, as amended from time to time.

      • This pass (photocopies not accepted) must be displayed on the rearview mirror or vehicle dashboard when visiting parks  that  honor this pass. To avoid theft, highway licensed motorcycle pass holders should present the hangtag at the entrance station in exchange for a day use ticket, utilizing self-pay envelopes where no attendant is available. Pass holders should be prepared to present annual pass upon request.

      • Valid any day of the week, including holidays, if space is available. No priority will be given to pass holders. Park admittance and use are subject to available space. Pass holders may be required to pay separate or additional fees.

      • If purchased online, annual pass will be shipped to customer’s address on customer household account within 10 business days. *Be sure to verify your mailing address on file before purchase.*

    ~ Restrictions ~

        • The pass is not valid for camping, boat use fees (additional sticker required for annual pass boat/jet ski entry), group use or sites, special events, oversized vehicle fees, additional/extra vehicle fees, sanitation disposal use, or for supplemental fees.

        • This pass is not valid for resale or commercial use, industrial or business operations, including, but not limited to, fleet use or pooling. Pass shall not be assigned for profit and is void if misused.

      Pass is valid unless revoked. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other pass and/or discount, nor can it be copied or altered in any way. All sales are final. No refunds, replacements or exchanges will be made for any reason, including but not limited to:  loss, theft or environmental conditions such as low water  levels, fire, park closures or inclement weather.

      Camping Policies

          • Reservations can be made up to one year in advance of the arrival date. All major credit cards are accepted.

          • Check-in time is after 4PM. Check-out time is before 2PM. (If you arrive earlier than 4PM, early check-in is not a guarantee. Early check-in will be allowed only if the campsite on the reservation is ready for occupancy).

          • McSwain, McClure Point, and Barrett Cove Recreation Areas may be reserved for camp and RV sites 24 hours in advance of arrival.

          • Bagby campground and cabin rental’s must be reserved at least 72 hours (three days) in advance of arrival.

          • Campsites are designated upon availability. If given less than a 24 hours notice, campsites are available on first arrival basis.

          • Campfires: Wood burning campfires are currently NOT permitted
          • In the off season when fires are permitted: Not every campsite will include a fire ring, and it’s always a good idea to bring a burn safe barrel to use if you have one available to you. We have a select number of loaner barrels to offer guests on a first come, first served basis, just ask a park ranger. This is only available outside of wildfire season, typically November to April. May through October wood burning is generally banned.

          • Drive-in RVs and Campers without reservations are welcome dependent upon availability. However, reservations are encouraged and reserved sites (marked with red disk marker) may NOT be occupied by parties without required reservation confirmation.

          • Maximum occupancy in all Camp and RV sites is two (2) vehicles and eight (8) persons.

          • Maximum occupancy of vehicles is two (2) per campsite. The first vehicle is included in the campsite fee. An additional second vehicle fee of $12 will be charged upon arrival. All other visitors should park in day-use parking lot areas.

          • Reservation changes and cancellations: A $10 fee will be charged for any changes or cancellations. Cancellation must be made 24 hours prior to check in date/time. Please make all changes or cancelations on our reservation website.

          • Quiet hours are from 11PM to 7AM

          • Loud music, inappropriate music at any hour of the day may be cause for eviction

          • Animals must be leashed and under control at all times

          • Animals are not allowed on the cabin grounds (this includes the patio and parking areas)

          • Reservations include one (1) vehicle. All other fees including boats and extra vehicles will be charged upon arrival
