  • Do we rent houseboats or speed boats or pontoon boats
    • Our concessionaire at the Barrett Cove Marina rents pontoon boats and fishing boats
    • No houseboat rentals are available
    • Please reach out to the Barrett Cove Marina directly at 209 378 2435
  • What are the current restrictions on folks out of the area coming to the lake
    • Lake McClure and Lake McSwain are both open
    • There are no current restrictions for park visitors from out of the area
  • Are dogs allowed on campsites
    • Yes dogs are allowed in campsites
    • Dogs are required to be on leash
    • Dogs are not allowed in the swim beach areas such as swim lagoons and the swim beach at Lake McSwain.
    • Dogs and pets are not allowed in the cabin areas.
  • Where can I get more information about the cabins?
    • Cabins are available at Lake McSwain and Barrett Cove on Lake McClure
    • There are no nightly minimum stay requirements
    • Prices range from $155-$175 per night
    • Cabins can accommodate 4-8 people depending on the type of cabin that you reserve
  • I’m having trouble logging in to reserve a campsite. What do I do?
    • Unfortunately our reservation system is not mobile friendly yet. We’ll be upgrading to a more user friendly mobile compatible system in winter 2020.
    • If you have a desktop/PC, please use that to reserve your campsite
    • If you are reserving your campsite/cabin from your mobile device, please email us at info@lakemcclure.com if you need assistance.
  •  What time does our lake open and close
    • Lake McClure and Lake McSwain are open 24 hours 7 days a week
  • Is there going to be a 2020 Fireworks show or Fall Fishing Derby?
    • Unfortunately the Lake McClure Lights on the Lake fireworks event and the Fall Fishing Derby are not occurring in 2020 but follow us on Facebook and Instagram for alerts for upcoming events
  • Are campfires allowed?
    • Due to fire safety, wood fires are not allowed currently and typically from Memorial Day- November or until the first rains occur.
    • Propane and charcoal are permitted
