  1. Lake McSwain Campground: For campers who want direct access to amenities without being far from the water, the Lake McSwain Campground is perfect for you! Campsites with 30- or 50-amp electrical hookups are available, with many featuring water and sewer connections. This campground is also home to Splash-N-Dash Aqua Park, North America’s Largest Floating, Inflatable Waterpark. You can also visit the Reel Deal Market & Café located at Lake McSwain.
  2. Barrett Cove Recreation Area: The largest of our recreation areas, Barrett Cove, has plenty to offer campers who love outdoor activities, including swimming, fishing, hiking, and biking. With over 200 campsites to choose from and a selection of hookup options for your RV, you are sure to find the perfect camping spot! Exchequer Bike Park can also be easily accessed from the Barrett Cove Recreation Area. Located along the northwestern shore of Lake McClure, where you can experience a trail and bike ride like no other.
  3. Horseshoe Bend Camping & Recreation Area: If you prefer a quieter and calmer atmosphere, Horseshoe Bend is a hidden gem. This campground provides RV sites with varying levels of hookup options, including 30-amp electric and water/sewer connections. Horseshoe Bend is a few miles west of the historic town of Coulterville and Highway 49 on Highway 132.
  4. Bagby Campground: For a true wilderness experience head to the Bagby Campground, located on the Merced River inlet into Lake McClure. Here you will find peaceful RV sites with 50-amp connections and water hookup availability, as well as access to fishing and swimming.
  5. McClure Point Camping & Recreation Area: McClure Point is one of the area’s top campgrounds, hosting thousands of visitors each year from both California and out of state.   • Reservations: It is wise to book your RV site in advance, especially during the peak seasons of Summer and during the holidays. We recommend booking 12 months in advance due to the popularity of our campgrounds. Make your reservations here.
  • Supplies: Stock up on essentials like food and water before arriving, as nearby stores are limited. Fires Prohibited: Currently, campfires are prohibited at Lake McClure and LakeMcSwain.   • Leave No Trace: Help keep Lake McClure and Lake McSwain pristine by cleaning up after yourself and respecting the environment.
